His Beatitude Theodoros II, Pope and Patriarch of Alexandria and All Africa with the Ambassador of Greece to Cyprus
His Beatitude Theodoros II, Pope and Patriarch of Alexandria and All Africa had a meeting with His Excellency the Ambassador of the Hellenic Republic to Cyprus,Mr. Theoharis Lalakos on Tuesday 15th September 2020, accompanied by His Eminence George Metropolitan of Guinea and His Grace Nicodemus Bishop of Nitria Exarch of the Patriarchate in Cyprus.
His Beatitude briefed Mr. Lalakos on the course of the work of the Patriarchate in Africa and especially in the country of Egypt. We remind you that Mr. Lalakos had been the Consul General of Greece in Alexandria for a number of years.
His Beatitude placed special emphasis on gratitude to Greece and Cyprus, which together with Egypt ensure peaceful coexistence in the Mediterranean.
In conclusion, His Beatitude and His Excellency the Ambassador pointed out the particularly strong relations that have developed between Greece and Egypt.
