Greece’s digital transformation policy to include digitization of country’s Orthodox Christian heritage

Public debate regarding Greece’s digital transformation between 2020 and 2025 was concluded this month, with the initiative describing the strategy and actions to be taken, which include a portion dedicated to the country’s Orthodox Christian heritage.
Specifically, the digitization of the Autocephalous Orthodox Church of Greece’s cultural legacy, as well as of the very significant Byzantine-era monuments and artifacts of Mount Athos are included in the initiative.
