‘The Greek Revolution through American Eyes’ exhibition in late March at Hellenic College Holy Cross
The Archbishop of America, His Eminence Elpidophoros, on Tuesday visited the office of Greek Amb. Maria Theofili, the country’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, where he officiated at a traditional new year’s cake-cutting celebration, known as Vassilopita in Greece, for 2021.
In a related item, the Archdiocese of America announced that His Eminence will inaugurate an exhibition, entitled “The Greek Revolution through American Eyes”, in late March at the Maliotis Cultural Center of the Hellenic College — Holy Cross, in Brookline, Massachusetts.
The exhibition is a digital and physical travelogue that commemorates the bicentennial of the start of the Greek Revolution in 1821.
The exhibition was created in partnership between the Maliotis Cultural Center, and the Dean and Zoë Pappas Inter-disciplinary Center for Hellenic Studies at Stockton University in New Jersey.
The exhibition will open at Stockton in the fall of 2021.
