Greek Independence Day commemorations in Nashville, Tenn.; Archbishop of America given Proclamation

The Archbishop of America, His Eminence Elpidophoros, was on hand on Thursday for a Greek Independence Day commemoration in Nashville, Tennessee, where he received a proclamation from the city’s mayor, John Cooper, at the Nashville Parthenon, a landmark replica of the actual Parthenon atop the Acropolis in central Athens.

The Archbishop was also received by Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee at the state Capitol, with events attended by Greece’s ambassador to the United States, Alexandra Papadopoulou and the Metropolitan of Detroit, His Eminence Nikolaos.
