Feast day of St. Ananias
The Church today venerates the memory of Ananias, Apostle of the 70. St. Ananias, whose name means “God is gracious,” was from Damascus, where by divine revelation he was commanded to baptize the Apostle Paul. Today is also the feast day of Romanos the Melodist.
