Archbishop Ieronymos invited to commemorative events in Messolonghi for 2022

The Archbishop of Athens and All Greece, His Beatitude Ieronymos, on Thursday received the mayor of the western Greece city of Messolonghi, Costas Lyras.

The office-holder presented the Archbishop with an invitation to attend commemorative events organized by the municipality this year on the occasion of the 200-anniversary of Messolonghi joining the Greek War of Independence against dour Ottoman rule.
