Greek FM expresses concern for safety of large ethnic Greek community of Mariupol region

In statements heading into a meeting of EU foreign ministers in Brussels, Greece’s envoy, minister of foreign affairs Nikos Dendias, referred to the tenuous situation in eastern Ukraine, while making a particularly reference to the importance that Athens attaches to the safety and security of the large ethnic Greek community in the Mariupol region, a port city in the Sea of Azov.
