Pastoral visit by Patriarch of Alexandria to DR Congo

The Pope and Patriarch of Alexandria and All Africa, His Most Divine Beatitude Theodoros II, this week continued his pastoral visit to the Democratic Republic of Congo.
On Monday, His Most Divine Beatitude visited the theological school of the Orthodox University in the capital of Kinshasa, where faculty members, seminary students and many Orthodox faithful in the vast African country joyfully welcomed their spiritual father.

Afterwards, the Patriarch of Alexandria officiated at a Doxology service at the Cathedral of St. Athanasius of Mt. Athos, and at the investiture of the first Hegumen, or abbot, of the Holy Monastery, the Very Reverend Archimandrite Chrysostomos.
