Perth: His Grace Bishop Elpidios of Kyanea at the Matins of the Bridegroom
The Bridegroom Service was conducted at the Church of the Annunciation in West Perth and Presided by His Grace Bishop Elpidios of Kyanea on the evening of Palm Sunday.
Towards the end of the service His Grace focussed on two major themes of Great and Holy Monday which are:
- The blessed Joseph the handsome who prefigures Jesus Christ and secondly
- The fig tree that was cursed by the Lord and then withered which symbolises the fate of those who are barren of spiritual fruit.
Finally His Grace presented to the faithful the new icon of the Bridegroom that recently arrived from Greece.
