Feast day of St. George the Triumphant at Ecumenical Patriarchate
The feast day of St. George the Triumphant was celebrated in a festal atmosphere and with a splendorous manner a day after Holy & Great Easter, on Renewal Monday, at the most sacred Patriarchal Cathedral in Constantinople, which is dedicated to the Great Martyr.
A con-celebratory Divine Liturgy was officiated by three Metropolitans of the Patriarchal Throne, while the Ecumenical Patriarch of Constantinople, His All Holiness Bartholomew I, attended the service.
During the service, an artoklasia, Greek for breaking bread, was performed.
The services were attended by Elder Metropolitans, Patriarchal bishops, diplomats, honored benefactors of the Mother Church, and faithful from throughout the world.
