Metropolitan of Messinia officiates at Akathist Hymn service in Kalamata

The deeply devotional Akathist Hymn (Unseated Hymn) service was celebrated and recited on Friday in the extreme southern Greece city of Kalamata.

The Divine Liturgy was celebrated at the Holy Trinity (Aghia Triada) Cathedral, with Metropolitan of Messinia, His Eminence Chrysostomos, officiating, and co-officiated by the Metropolitan parish’s priests.

In his address to the congregants, His Eminence prayed for our Most Holy Lady Theotokos (Virgin Mary) to serve as a foundation and shelter in the lives of believers.
