Archbishop of America Elpidophoros meets with visiting King Abdullah II of Jordan in NYC

The Archbishop of America, His Eminence Elpidophoros, on Monday met in New York City with visiting King Abdullah II of Jordan.

Discussion focused on the importance of inter-faith dialogue and cooperation, especially in light of the current developments in the Middle East and the invasion of Ukraine.

Archbishop Elpidophoros also shared news of his upcoming pilgrimage to the Holy Land, on the occasion of the centennial celebration of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America at the end of the year.

Finally, His Eminence praised the thriving Jordanian Orthodox Christian community under his Arch-pastoral care, and conveyed to the Jordanian monarch the warm greetings of His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew.
