Media reports claim Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew to receive Archbishop of Ohrid Stefan in Constantinople next month
News media in the Republic of North Macedonia, which lies due north of the northern Greek province of Macedonia, this week claimed that the Ecumenical Patriarch of Constantinople, His All Holiness Bartholomew I, will receive the Archbishop of Ohrid, His Beatitude Stefan, at the Mother Church’s Phanar-district see on the feast day of the Holy Pentecost, which this year falls on June 12.
The same news reports claimed a date is being sought for an archieratical service to be officiated by His All Holiness and the Archbishop of Ohrid.
The Macedonia province in Greece approximates with historical Macedonia of antiquity and includes more than half of geographical Macedonia.
