Exact replicas of Mount Athos Icons of the Panaghia conveyed to under-construction Cathedral of St. Sava of Split

Exact replicas of two well-known Mount Athos Icons of the Panaghia, the Virgin Mary, have been conveyed to the under-construction Cathedral of St. Sava, in the Croatian port city of Split.
The Holy Icons were received during a solemn ceremony by the Bishop of Dalmatia, His Grace Nikodim, who was joined by clergy and Orthodox faithful from around the region.

Speaking during a Divine Liturgy, His Grace referred to the great spiritual joy experienced by the Church with the arrival of the icon of the Panaghia Tricherousa, preserved at the Holy Monastery of Hilandar, as well as the exact replica of the Panaghia Galaktotrofoussa, preserved at the hermitage of St. Sava on Mount Athos.
