Archieratical Divine Liturgy celebrated on Sunday of All Saints at Monastery of Dormition of the Theotokos Agathonos

An archieratical Divine Liturgy was celebrated on the Sunday of All Saints at the Monastery of the Dormition of the Theotokos at the Agathonos site, in south-central Greece.
The con-celebratory service came only days after an announcement, by the Sacred and Holy Synod of the Ecumenical Patriarchate, to canonize Elder Vissarionas of the Agathonos Monastery.

The Metropolitan of Messinia, His Eminence Chrysostomos, following the kind invitation of resident Metropolitan of Fthiotida Symeon, officiated at a Doxology service towards the All-Mighty.

The newest saint of the Orthodox Church was a native of Messinia prefecture.

The official act of canonization will be signed and sealed on Aug. 31 at the Patriarchal Cathedral of St. George at the Phanar.
