SMALL CHURCH UNTOUCHED BY DEVASTATING FIRES IN NORTHEASTERN GREECE (+VIDEO)

Despite the devastating fire in Dadia, Greece, that raged for days and destroyed huge areas of land and properties, the tiny Church of St. Raphael survived completely unscathed.

The flames engulfed everything in their path in the Dadia-Lefkimi National Park, but the church, located near a monastery in the area, not only didn’t burn, but it didn’t even suffer any smoke damage, reports the Orthodoxia News Agency, as can be seen in the video below:

The Chapel of St. Raphael was built in 1993. Firefighters were truly amazed by what happened.

“It was as if an invisible hand stopped the flames a short distance from the tiny church, while all the trees around it burned,” the report states.

In March of this year, OrthoChristian reported about an icon of St. Nicholas that survive a house fire in a Bulgarian village, and in April, about an epitaph made by St. Maria (Skobtsova) that survived a devastating church fire in Paris.
