Feast day of Saint Euphemia the Great Martyr at the Ecumenical Patriarchate
On the feast day of Saint Euphemia the Great Martyr, His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew was present during the Matins and Divine Liturgy praying from within the holy altar, which took place on Friday, September 16 2022, at the venerable Patriarchal Church of Saint George in the Phanar, which was also presided over by His Eminence Metropolitan Andreas of Saranta Ekklesies, who also presided over the Great Vespers for the feast day the evening before.
Along with His All-Holiness, Elder Metropolitan Apostolos of Derkoi, clergy and many devout faithful from Constantinople and from oversees also took part in the feast day services.
The holy relic of Saint Euphemia, which is kept at the Patriarchal Church of Saint George, was laid out for veneration, over two days, by the pious believers.
