Con’f on ecology and theology commences at Orthodox Academy of Crete

A very timely scientific conference, entitled “Ecological Theology and Environmental Ethics”, commenced today at the Orthodox Academy of Crete (OAC), on the large Mediterranean island.
The conference is held under the auspices of the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople; and is organized by the Academy’s institute of theology and ecology.

A video message by the Ecumenical Patriarch of Constantinople, His All Holiness Bartholomew I, inaugurated the conference, which brings together scientists and theologians, in cooperation with the World Council of Churches and the Conference of European Churches.
