Patriarchate of Romania hosts int’l con’f on ‘Hesychastic Light in Ecclesiastical Art: The Glory of Christ on Mt. Tabor & the Halo of Saints’

The Patriarchate of Romania’s ecclesiastical art and preservation department, in cooperation with the public secretariat for worship, is organizing a 9th international conference on the subject of “Hesychastic Light in Ecclesiastical Art: The Glory of Christ on Mt. Tabor, and the Halo of the Saints.”
The conference commenced on Monday at the Patriarch Theoktistos Hall at the Patriarchal See in Bucharest, with the Patriarch of All Romania, His Beatitude Daniel, opening sessions with an address entitled “The Glory of the Kingdom of Heaven and the Prophetic Vision of Orthodox Iconography.”
