Feast day of Katherine, the Great Martyr of Alexandria

The Church today venerates Katherine, the Great Martyr of Alexandria.
The Pope and Patriarch of Alexandria and All Africa, His Beatitude Theodoros II, officiated on the eve of feast day at a con-celebratory Vesper, performed with centuries-old ecclesiastical rite, at the Holy Monastery of St. Katherine of the God-trodden Mount Sinai.
His Beatitude, in his sermon, reminded of the martyrdom of St. Katerine, pointing to the saint’s example as an illuminating path for the faithful.
