Russian Metropolitan on issue of German WWII reparations sought by Greece

Hilarion, who is the head of the Russian Patriarchate’s department for external Church relations, told the “Russia24” channel that when nations seek to claim one thing from another, for issues that are in the past, “….the first thing I want to say is that human lives are not compensated with reparations. Secondly, the issue of wartime reparations is a matter of political negotiation.”
