Patriarch of All Romania Daniel conveys condolences to Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew over repose of Elder Metropolitan Ioannis

The Patriarch of All Romania, His Beatitude Daniel conveyed his condolences to the Ecumenical Patriarch of Constantinople, His All Holiness Bartholomew I, over the repose in the Lord of the Elder Metropolitan of Pergamos Ioannis.
The Patriarch of All Romania referred to the late Elder Metropolitan Ioannis as a wise hierarch, with a particularly prolific academic presence as a professor of Orthodox dogma and theology.

The Elder Metropolitan of the Mother Church reposed on Thursday at the age of 92.

An exodios funeral service will be held on Saturday at the Metropolitan Cathedral of Athens.
