Patriarch of Alexandria Theodoros II receives visiting Metropolitan Damaskinos, pilgrims from NE Greece

The Pope and Patriarch of Alexandria and All Africa, His Beatitude Theodoros II, received the visiting Metropolitan of Didymoticho, Orestiada and Soufli, His Eminence Damaskinos, on Thursday at the Patriarchal Hall in Alexandria.
His Eminence arrived in the land of the Nile at the head of a group of 60 pilgrims from his ecclesiastical Diocese in extreme northeast Greece.

His Beatitude warmly greeted the visiting hierarch, with whom he is linked with a long-standing friendship, while also addressing the pilgrims, detailing the missionary and charitable works of the venerable second-in-rank Patriarchate in the African continent.

The Pope and Patriarch of Alexandria also touched on his recent pastoral tour of Kenya.
