Elder Elisseos in Bosnia, Montenegro; leads prayer services for reposed Serbian Orthodox hierarchs

The Elder Archimandrite Elisseos, the Abbot of the Simonos Petras Monastery of Mount Athos, travelled to Bosnia-Hercegovina and Montenegro over the recent period to pray for the repose of the souls of two great hierarchs of the Serbian Orthodox Church, the late Bishop of Zahumlje and Herzegovina Atanasije and the late Metropolitan-Bishop of Montenegro and All the Littoral Amphilochios.
The Elder Elisseos and his entourage on Sunday held a Trisagion Memorial service for the repose of the soul of Amphilochios at the Cathedral of the Resurrection in Podgorica, where the Divine Liturgy was earlier officiated by the Metropolitan of Montenegro and All the Littoral, His Beatitude Ioannikije, the reposed hierarch’s successor.

The Elder Elisseos arrived in the Montenegro capital from Bosnia.
