Delegation from newly established Greek Orthodox parish in Darwin received by Archbishop of Australia Makarios

The Archbishop of Australia, His Eminence Makarios, on Wednesday welcomed the Parish priest and a delegation of laymen of the newly established Greek Orthodox parish in Darwin, located in Australia’s Northern Territory.

The purpose of the delegation’s visit to the Holy Archdiocese in Sydney was to receive the blessing of the shepherd of the Greek Orthodox Church on the island continent, in view of the arduous but uplifting mission to construct a new cathedral in the Palmerston district.
