Dour anniversary of pogrom against Serbs in Kosovo & Metohija

Today marks the dour 19-year anniversary of a two-day pogrom against ethnic Serbs by ethnic Albanians in the Kosovo and Metohija province.
Nineteen people were killed and more than 4,000 Serbs fled from their ancestral homes, with ethnic cleansing taking place in six towns and nine villages.

Thirty-nine Orthodox Churches and monasteries were vandalized and hundreds of homes belonging to ethnic Serbs were burned to the ground.
