Thanks to Republic of Congo leadership for facilitating successful visit by Patriarch of Alexandria

The Prime Minister of the Republic of the Congo, Clément Mouamba, was presented with an icon of St. Demetrius this week by the Orthodox Metropolitan of Brazzaville and Gabon, His Eminence Panteleimon, during a meeting at the prime ministerial seat in the country’s capital.

Panteleimon expressed his Archdiocese’s warm appreciation towards Mouamba and to Republic of the Congo President Denis Sassou Nguesso for the government’s and state’s good offices and assistance during last month’s visit to the country by Patriarch of Alexandria and All Africa, His Divine Beatitude Theodoros II.
