Church of Greece humanitarian aid to be delivered to Patriarchate of Antioch’s relief of quake-stricken in Syria

The Patriarch of Antioch and All the East, His Beatitude John X, was due to receive today, in Lebanon, a synodal delegation of the Autocephalous Orthodox Church of Greece, headed by the Church’s Primate, His Beatitude Archbishop Ieronymos.
The Church of Greece delegation is accompanying a shipment of humanitarian aid collected for quake-stricken residents of northwest Syria, which will be delivered to the Antioch Patriarchate.

In a posted message, the Patriarchate of Antioch and All the East referred a fraternal visit, one that confirms the depth of historical relations linking the sister Churches of Antioch with the Church of Greece and the Greek people, while adding “…especially amid these difficult times, it comprises a message of love, solidarity and hope.”
