The Patriarch of Serbia, His Holiness Irinej, this week received a representative of the Russian Orthodox Church, Bishop Nikolai.

According to reports, discussions touched on the brotherly ties between the Slavic peoples of Russia and Serbia, both indelibly linked with the Byzantine missionaries Cyril and Methodius – the Apostles to the Slavs.

The Serbian Patriarch also referred to the development of spiritual life in the Far East and the work of the Russian Church in the Metropolis of Amur.
