Targoviste Archbishop meets with Germany’s Ambassador to Romania
His Eminence Hon Metropolitan Nifon, Archbishop of Targoviste, welcomed His Excellency Mr Peer Gebauer, Germany’s Ambassador to Romania, accompanied by his wife, at the archdiocesan residence.
Prefect of Dâmbovița County Claudia Gilia, Senator Titus Corlățean, Dâmbovița County Council President Corneliu Ștefan, and the eparchial vicar Ionuț Adrian Ghibanu also attended the meeting.

According to a press release issued by the Archdiocese of Targoviște, Ambassador Peer Gebauer demonstrated an interest in the contemporary pastoral mission of the Romanian Orthodox Church as well as the confessional composition of the Municipality of Targoviște, former voivodeship capital and important mediaeval Romanian cultural centre.
Metropolitan Nifon thanked Ambassador Peer Gebauer for his visit and the hospitality the Churches in Germany showed the participants at the General Assembly of the World Council of Churches in September 2022.
