The Ecumenical Patriarch of Constantinople, His All Holiness Bartholomew I, on Monday afternoon received Archbishop of Athens and All Greece, His Beatitude Ieronymos, at the Patriarchate’s seat.
The primate of the Church of Greece travelled to Turkey a day before the Feast Day of the Apostle Bartholomew, on June 11, to personally offer his best wishes to the Ecumenical Patriarch on his name day.

The Archbishop of Greece was accompanied by the Metropolitan of Mesogaia and Lavreotiki (the greater east Athens area), His Eminence Nikolaos, the Metropolitan of Grevena, His Eminence David, as well as his First Secretary, the Bishop of Thespies, His Grace Symeon, along with the First Secretary of the Archdiocese of Athens, Archimandrite Filotheos, amongst others.

“We arrive here today on the occasion of the celebration of our Holiness, the Patriarch, to wish him that God give him the strength to continued his blessed work,” Ieronymos told waiting reporters at the Patriarchate.
