DECR chairman meets with Secretary General of Eurasian People’s Assembly

On 13th June 2019, Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk, chairman of the Moscow Patriarchate’s Department for External Church Relations, met with Mr. Andrei Belyaninov, Secretary General of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly International Union of Non-Governmental Organizations, chairman of the management board of the Eurasian Development Bank.
They were joined in the meeting by Ms. Svetlana Smirnova, first deputy secretary general and head of the General Secretariat of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly; Ms. Larisa Trunina, deputy head of the General Secretariat of this organization; the Assembly members Mr. Fyodor Buldakov and Ms. Yevgeniya Olenich; as well as Priest Alexander Karzan, secretary to the DECR chairman; and Deacon Andrei Titushkin of the DECR Secretariat for Far Abroad Countries.

The participants in the meeting discussed various issues of bilateral cooperation and signed a cooperation agreement between the Department for External Church Relations of the Moscow Patriarchate and the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly.
