We have to do everything in order to maintain the holiness and traditions that had characterized our ancestors, – Catholicos Patriarch of All Georgia Ilia II noted this during the sermon at Sameba (Holy Trinity) Cathedral in Tbilisi.

Georgian Orthodox Christendom celebrates Pentecost today. Patriarch delivered a solemn church service on this occasion.

“We have to do everything in order to maintain the holiness and traditions that had characterized our ancestors. They did not have wealth, but they had holiness and this holiness is the power of God, which the Lord gave us. With the help of the Mother of God, we must maintain this”, – Ilia II said.

Ilia II blessed the entrants to the Holy Trinity Cathedral in connection with Pentecost celebration.
