25th anniversary of translation of Holy Relics of St. Maximus the Greek to Arta

On Oct. 12, 1997 the Elder Archimandrite Ephraim, accompanied by the Vatopedi Elders Timotheos, Athanasios and Andreas, conveyed a Holy Relic of the saint to the city of Arta. The Holy Relic had first been released to the then Metropolitan of Arta in Russia, while then remaining at the Holy and Great Monastery of Vatopedi for several months.

A feature has been posted today on the pages of the Orthodoxia news agency on the life, works and addresses by the 17th century St. Maximus the Greek, an illuminator of the Russian people.
