40-day memorial service for reposed Metropolitan Jeremiah

A solemn 40-day memorial service for the repose of the soul of the Metropolitan of Gortyna & Megaloupolis Jeremiah was conducted on Sunday the Metropolitan Cathedral of St. Nicholas in the central Peloponnese city of Megalopoli.
The service was officiated by the Metropolitan of Mantinia and Kynouria, His Eminence Alexandros, and co-officiated by the Metropolitan of Sparta, His Eminence Efstathios, the locum tenens of the former Metropolis, as decided by the Church of Greece’s Holy Synod, as well as the Metropolitan of Corinth, His Eminence Dionysios, the Metropolitan of Messinia, His Eminence Chrysostomos, and the Metropolitan of Syros, His Eminence Dorotheos.
Local office-holders, clerics, monks and nuns, as well as numerous faithful attended the service.
