April 23 is annually the feast day of George the Great Martyr and Triumphant, yet due to the ongoing Great Lent, the Great feast day – as per Orthodox ecclesiastical canon – will be celebrated on the first Monday after Easter Sunday, which this year is Monday, May 3.
