A new Orthodox church was consecrated in Varna Diocese

On September 1st, when the Church New Year began, His Eminence Metropolitan of Varna and the Great Preslav John consecrated the church of St. John of Rila in the village of Rositsa, General Toshevo Municipality, Dobrich spiritual district.

At the spiritual event were Mr. Valentin Dimitrov, Mayor of General Toshevo Municipality and Mrs. Dimitrichka Stoyanova, Mayor of Rositsa village. Among those in attendance were Mr. Stelian Stoyanov and other donors who helped the villagers to have their own church.

In His word, His Eminence greeted everyone and also expressed his gratitude to all who helped for the construction of the prayer house, which is the only one in the village of Rositsa. He added that the celebration of the feast of this church is appropriate to be on August 18th, whenwhen the church celebrates the Dormition of St. John of Rila.
