Academic: Int’l community continues to look away from persecution inflicted on Orthodox believers in Kosovo

Serbian history professor Sinica Misic this week charged that the international community is continuing to look away from the persecution inflicted on Orthodox believers and the attacks on Orthodox Christian legacy in the Kosovo and Metohija province.

His comments came after the latest vandalism targeting the Hermitage of St. Peter in the Prizren.

The desecration comes only days before elections in the strife-plagued province.

Prof. Misic underlined that over the past decade many of the most significant Orthodox monuments and pilgrimages in Kosovo have been targeted by vandals.
