AGAPI Care celebrates Elysian House grand opening
On 23 November 2020, AGAPI Care proudly celebrated the opening of the Elysian House in Oakleigh.
The ceremony commenced with the official blessing. The official blessing was conducted by the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese Vicar Rev Fr Evmenios Vasilopoulos. As a conclusion of the blessing, Fr Evmenios congratulated the Committee of Management, the Executive and staff of AGAPI Care for the wonderful work they continue to do in the community. He also conveyed the blessing and well wishes on behalf of His Eminence Archbishop Makarios to everyone at AGAPI Care offering their continued support of our Greek Orthodox Church to AGAPI Care.
Arthur Evriniadis, Secretary/Treasurer of AGAPI Care, welcomed everyone to the opening of the Elysian House. In his speech, Mr Evriniadis said, “I am sure you will all agree that this is a stunning facility and for that we owe a debt of gratitude to Ange Pilipasidis who ran the project from start to finish. At all times she was on my back and insisted that everything be perfect. If I disagreed, she teamed up with Marcus Markides from EBG and I lost the argument.”
Mr Evriniadis thanked everyone that attended the grand opening, especially James Megas from Orestias – The Victoria Association of Argos Orestikon & District Inc. for their generous donation of $13,549 that paid for the electrical appliances and the light wells.
Chief Operating Officer Ange Pilipasidis thanked the project partners, in particular Marcus Markides from EBG- Epro Building Group and Mr Evriniades.
