Albanian police attempt to dissuade faithful from raising Cross next to monastery

Albanian authorities on Sunday detained and questioned 10 residents in the coastal Himare district after a Cross was raised next to the Monastery of the Panaghia Athaliotissa, in the same historic region.
The ominous development generated sharp reactions on the part of Orthodox faithful in the area.
