Antiochian Orthodox Archdiocese of Australia, New Zealand, and the Philippines – A prayer for the tragedy in Beirut
On Sunday the 9th of August 2020, His Eminence Metropolitan Basilios attended and presided over The Matins and Divine Liturgy Service at St. George Cathedral.
In attendance were the Ambassador of Lebanon for Australia and New Zealand, his Excellency Mr. Milad Raed.
The Trisagion prayer of the departed was offered for the victims of the tragedy that occurred in Beirut and prayers for all injured and missing people. His Eminence expressed his sincerest love, support, and condolences to all the people affected by this tragedy and reminded all of the Christian witnesses, to care for their fellow brothers and sisters in Christ.
