His Beatitude Archbishop Ieronymos of Athens and All Greece, accompanied by the country’s culture minister, Lina Mendoni, on Monday afternoon inaugurated an exhibition of heirlooms, Holy Icons, liturgical objects and print editions reverently brought to Greece by ethnic Greek refugees of Asia Minor after 1922.

The exhibition, entitled “Hail! Asia Minor: A Cradle of Memory”, is organised by the Holy Metropolis of Neapolis and Stavroupolis, and hosted in the northern city of Thessaloniki’s Lazariston Monastery.

His Beatitude was invited to the exhibition’s opening by the resident Metropolitan, His Eminence Barnabas.

The exhibition will remain open until June 30.

Earlier, His Beatitude Archbishop Ieronymos visited the Holy Metropolis of Thessaloniki, where he was fraternally received by the resident Metropolitan of Thessaloniki, His Beatitude Anthimos, and other hierarchs of the Metropolis.
