Archbishop Makarios of Australia Visits the Church of Saint Dimitrios in Attica in the Presence of the Prime Minister of Greece
The feast day of the Holy Great Martyr Dimitrios the Myrrh-streamer, Patron Saint and Protector of the parish in the municipality of Attica bearing his name, was celebrated with ecclesiastical grandeur and splendour.
The Festal Matins and Concelebrated Hierarchical Divine Liturgy were presided over by His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia.
Concelebrating with His Eminence, the spiritual shepherd of Australia, were Their Graces Bishop Elpidios of Perth, Bishop Kyriakos of Melbourne, Bishop Athinagoras of Canberra and Bishop Isidoros of Andidon.
The Prime Minister of Greece, Mr Kyriakos Mitsotakis, was also present at the festal celebrations.
