Archbishop of Australia Makarios visits Ukrainian Orthodox parish of St. Savvas the New of Kalymnos

The Archbishop of Australia, His Eminence Makarios, on Sunday made his inaugural visit to the Ukrainian Orthodox parish of St. Savvas the New of Kalymnos, located in the Banksia district of Sydney, following the parish’s accession to the Holy Archdiocese’s jurisdiction.
This historic event was celebrated spiritually and eucharistically with a Divine Liturgy, officiated by Archbishop Makarios.

The Archbishop also expressed his unwavering support for the suffering Ukrainian people and wished the merciful God, as he said, “…to put an end to this madness and restore peace”.
