Archbishop of Great Britain Nikitas visits Monastery of St John the Baptist in Essex, on occasion of feast of St. Sophrony the Athonite

The Archbishop of Thyateira and Great Britain, His Eminence Nikitas, on Monday visited the Patriarchal and Stavropegic Monastery of St John the Baptist in Essex, UK, on the occasion of the feast day of St. Sophrony the Athonite.
His Eminence attended a Divine Liturgy in honor of the saint, officiated by the Bishop of Ilion, His Grace Raphael, the representative of Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew.

Following the Divine Liturgy, Archbishop Nikitas and the clergymen accompanying him joined the monastery’s monks for a customary festal meal.
