Archbishop of Thyateira and Great Britain receives visiting Greek Dep. FM
The Archbishop of Thyateira and Great Britain, His Eminence Nikitas, over the weekend hosted a reception in honor of Greece’s visiting deputy foreign minister, Constantinos Vlasis.
The Greek minister, who holds the expatriate and Diaspora portfolio, also referred to his government’s goal to create conditions back in Greece that will facilitate the repatriation of high-skilled professionals, who emigrated from the country during the nearly 10-year economic crisis.
He also pointed to a goal of backing Greek-language education for expatriate’ children, in cooperation with the Archdiocese of Great Britain.
Finally, Vlasis also noted that the Archdiocese is lucky to have Nikitas as the Primate, referring to a «charismatic personality».
