Archimandrite Dionysios Koptidis appointed as First Secretary of Metropolis of Tamassos & Orinis

The All-Reverend Archimandrite Dionysios Koptidis has been appointed as the new First Secretary of the Church of Cyprus’ Holy Metropolis of Tamassos & Orinis, following a decision by the resident Metropolitan, His Grace Isaiah.

NE Greece town’s residents attend Church services in traditional garb on feast day of St. Tryphon

The Metropolitan of Didymoticho, Orestiada and Soufli, His Eminence Damaskinos, on Thursday officiated at the Divine Liturgy at the Cathedral of St. Demetrius, in the town of Dikaion, in extreme northeast Greece, on the occasion of the feast day of St. Tryphon.
In keeping with a medieval tradition, the town’s residents attended the Church services in traditional garb, with a celebration held for locals and visitors alike afterwards in the main square before the cathedral.

In addressing the faithful after the Divine Liturgy, His Eminence underlined the value of retaining our ancestral customs and traditions.
