Archimandrite Fr. Damaskinos Tsiakas has been selected by the resident Metropolitan of Karpenissi, His Eminence Georgios, as the new Abbot of the Stavropegic Monastery of Tatarni, succeeding the Elder Dositheos, who reposed in the Lord last week. 

A feature has been posted today on the pages of the Orthodoxia news agency on the Holy Monastery of the Panaghia Tatarni, which includes an interview with the reposed Elder Dositheos, who recounts the difficulties in rebuilding the monastery after a devastating landslide in 1969.
