Athanasios Martinos to Receive the “Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew” Award
PeopleCert, a global leader in professional and language-skills certification, will host a graduation ceremony for students of the “Strengthening Education in the City” programme on Saturday, 20 June 2026, at 5:00 pm, at the Marasleios School in Constantinople.
As part of the event, the “Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew” Award for 2026 will be presented to Mr. Athanasios Martinos, Archon Exarchos of the Great Church of Christ and Founder of the Athanasios and Marina Martinos Foundation.
The distinction is being awarded in recognition of Mr Martinos’ many years of selfless service to the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople and the Greek Orthodox community of Constantinople, as well as for his decisive contribution to the preservation and revitalisation of the historic educational, ecclesiastical, and communal institutions of the Greek Orthodox community.
The ceremony will take place in the presence of His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, who will personally present the award to the honouree.
