Bill passed transferring chapels within cemeteries in Greece to local Metropolises

A draft bill was passed by a majority of Parliament deputies this week, which includes a provision transferring chapels within municipal cemeteries to the respective Metropolis in each specific location.

Under the legislation, municipalities will also be prohibited from financially benefiting from any religious rites conducted in the cemeteries, regardless of the faith.
